APS Users

Arizona Public Service, or APS, is a major utility providing electricity to homes, businesses and schools in Flagstaff, Sedona, Williams, and the Phoenix metropolitan area as well as in much of rural Arizona. APS promotes home energy conservation through several programs that can actually save you money:
  1. APS's Energy Efficient Lighting Program provides discounts on compact fluorescent light bulbs throughout Arizona. If you haven't already, take advantage of this to reduce your home's electricity costs by replacing your old-style incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescents. Compact fluorescents are an easy way to improve energy conservation in your home.
  2. Arizona is a great place for solar power. Solar power can reduce your energy costs and eliminate your carbon footprint from home energy use. But solar is expensive up front. APS is helping out by offering rebates on solar installations for both solar electricity and solar hot water.
  3. To cut electricity costs in the summer, consider also APS' rebates for efficient air-conditioners. Keeping cool in the desert is costly, so efficient air conditioners are a great conservation investment.
